Mohini Tellakat, PhD loves creating spaces where people have permission to unravel into their truth. Her love for art and the human condition began as a child and has only grown with time. Using mixed media abstraction, her background in psychology allows her to see humans for the inherently complex, layered, messy, and beautiful beings that we are. 

In her irreverent fine art process, Mohini will often layer a new work on top of an old one, even painting over works that have already been shown publicly in order to reflect a multitude of seasons of life within a single piece. Layering works allows Mohini’s body of work to be a multi-dimensional timeline of her artistic career and engages her curious and mischievous inner-child who urges her to go ahead and mess with the art and just play <3
